Pilates
The Pilates method of body coniditioning is a unique system of stretching and strengthening exercises, developed over 90 years ago by Joseph H. Pilates. These exercises strengthen and tone muscles, improve posture, provide flexibilty and balance, unite body and mind and create a more streamlined shape.
How does it work? Pilates movements gently stretch the muscles, pulling them into leaner and longer shapes. This method has been adopted by professional dancers and athletes since the 1920s, and is regularly used as an effective method of injury prevention, stress relief and improvement of posture.
Our Pilates classes operate in a relaxed atmosphere, where you will be encouraged to work at your own level.
